Gort Gardaí have issued a warning to people in the North Clare and South Galway area about incidents of break-ins to vehicles and home heating oil theft.
It comes following a spate of such crimes in recent months and in particular, the Gardaí in Gort are urging the owners and drivers of large vehicles to take steps to ensure that their fuel tanks are properly locked and secured.

They’re also asking home-owners to vigilant to secure their home-heating oil tanks with locks, fencing and other security measures, and they’re reminding motorists and tradesmen never to leave valuables on display in their cars and vans.
