A government deal between Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil could be wrapped up in the coming days.
The two parties last night agreed to send the subject of water charges to an expert commission, with TDs given a vote on their findings.

Talks will resume today to decide how long charges should be suspended for in the meantime.
Fine Gael negotiator Simon Coveney says he's hopeful that two weeks of talks will soon be at an end.
