An East Clare Councillor says a “dose of reality” is needed from the government in delivering broadband to rural Ireland sooner rather than later.
It comes amid concern that a fresh delay to the long-awaited plan could leave homes in rural parts of the country without high-speed internet access until at least 2020.
Fianna Fáil says it’s not good enough and has accused the government of ‘ineptitude’ over its handling of the National Broadband Plan.
