Government Talks To Resume

Teams from Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil are set to meet later today to discuss arrangements for a minority government.

A deal between the two parties is needed if any stable government is to be formed.

Talks with various groups of independents are also still ongoing.

The Fianna Fail leader believes Fine Gael must enter today's talks with an open mind towards a Fianna Fail minority government.

Micheal Martin says he'd support a Fine Gael minority government if necessary, and hopes Fine Gael can do the same.
