Two West Clare community groups have received a funding boost under the Scheme of Community Support for Older People.
The Caring for Carers West Clare Group has been allocated just over 5,000, while Kilrush Family Resource Centre will receive over 4,000 Euro
The Scheme includes community-based personal alarm systems, monitored smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, external security lighting and other security equipment.
