Polling booths have opened for national elections in France and Greece this morning.
The economy has dominated the campaigns in both countries.
One in five Greek workers is unemployed – and with the crippling debt crisis showing no signs of abating – it could see the two main parties suffer huge losses.

In France meanwhile, polls suggest Nicolas Sarkozy has closed the gap between main rival Francois Hollande.
