Greece is set to come to a halt today – as protesters launch a 48-hour general strike against the bankruptcy-threatened government which is desperately trying to push through sweeping austerity cuts.
Leaders of the ruling Socialist party are urging their members to help pass the strict austerity measures demanded by the EU and IMF.
They’ll debate today whether to implement the 28-billion euro package.
