A major new school building project for Tulla has moved a step closer with planning approval from the local authority.
Clare County Council has given the go ahead for the proposed new 650 student complex at St. Joseph’s Secondary School in Tulla which has been described as one of the most important building projects in East Clare for some time.

The two-storey building on a new 10 acre site close to the current school will provide 26 specialist classrooms, 10 general classrooms and a special needs unit.
East Clare TD Michael McNamara says he expects a contractor will be appointed in the next few months with work to commence in October.
