There were 6 arrests for drink driving in the Clare Garda Division over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
Clare Gardai were out in increased numbers across the county through the holiday weekend targeting drink driving, speed and the wearing of seat belts.

Meanwhile three young women lost their lives on the nation’s roads over the weekend.
The latest collision happened at Kilsheelan in Tipperary shortly before ten last night in which a woman in her 20’s was killed.
On Saturday a 25 year old died after a crash near her home in Athenry while a 23 year old Dublin woman was killed in a crash in Meath yesterday.
