A Barefield Councillor is calling for greater access to kidney treatment in county Clare.
It follows a meeting of the HSE's Regional Health Forum West where Consultant Nephrologist Dr Donal Reddan revealed that the possibility of providing such treatments at Ennis General Hospital will be considered.

Currently, people in Clare with kidney problems must travel to Galway or Limerick to avail of services there.
But Committee member, Councillor Anne Norton believes that there's no reason why care couldn't be offered closer to home.
