The Health Minister’s being accused of ignoring the health of young women after it emerged they won’t now be eligable for a free smear test from the state
Changes to the National Cervical Screening Programme mean that women will not be able to get a free smear test without written permission which could lead to delays of up to six months
The move has been heavily criticised by Clare GP Michael Harty who says that women under 25 are particulary at risk.
