The Health Minister insists the government is committed to investing in the health service.
Minister Simon Harris was speaking yesterday during a visit to University Hospital Limerick, where he officially opened the new 16.5 million euro Leben building and also inspected the hospital's Emergency Department.

That will be replaced by a new ED which is due to open next year, and the Minister believes such investments are important when it comes to attracting and retaining medical staff.
