The Minister for Health will today launch a new report on the National Emergency Medical Programme.
It’ll examine the current state of emergency departments in Irish hospitals – while putting forward proposals for improving them.

The Irish Association for Emergency Medicine says the report is dedicated to improving both the quality and patient experience of care in emergency departments.
Among the findings presented in the report is a new categorisation that could allow hospitals to configure services along with international best practice.
