Ireland's over 35's will have to pay more to get health insurance for the first time from May of next year.
The Health Minister's adding a 2% penalty on premiums for each year over that age, in an effort to get younger people back into the market.
It's estimated that more than a quarter of a million people have dropped their private health insurance since 2008.

Minister James Reilly says health insurance premiums will rise more slowly as a result of the new system, called community rating.
