The level of overcrowding at University Hospital Limerick has dipped today, though it’s still the busiest in the country.
The latest INMO figures show 49 patients were left waiting for beds this morning, 21 of those in the emergency department.
The overall figure is a significant drop on the record-breaking peak of 82 earlier this week, and comes on a day when 388 patients have been left waiting on trolleys at hospitals across the country.
