63 On Trolleys At University Hospital Limerick

Nurses say 63 patients have been left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick today.

The latest figures from the INMO show the level of overcrowding is on the rise and that the Dooradoyle facility is once again the busiest in the country.

During morning rounds, there were 43 patients on trolleys in the emergency department, with a further 20 being accommodated in overflow areas of wards.

Overall trolley numbers there today were 23 higher than any other facility in the country.
