Nurses say the region’s main hospital remains the busiest in the country as the week begins.
The latest INMO figures show there were 65 patients on trolleys at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 36 of those in the emergency department alone.
The overall figure is 19 more than the next busiest facility, on a day when 401 patients have been left waiting on trolleys at hospital across the country.
