Call For UHL Management To Curtail Elective Procedures And Take Control Of Trolley Numbers

The INMO’s Midwest representative is calling on management at the region’s main hospital to curtail all elective procedures and take control of the overcrowding crisis.

Figures released by the nurses organisation show that last month was the worst ever July in terms of overcrowding nationwide and once again, University Hospital Limerick topped the table.

Almost 1,300 patients there were left waiting on trolleys last month – a rise of around 400 on the same period last year.
