The Irish Blood Transfusion Service is encouraging people in Clare to come out and donate blood, as they grapple with higher demand than usual.
Clinics are being held in Ennistymon, Kilrush, Shannon and Scarriff over the month of January, with the first taking place at the Falls Hotel, Ennistymon on the 6th and 7th.
An eligibility test is available on the Give Blood website for anyone who is uncertain if they are able to donate.
