A Clare Fine Gael TD insists it’s vital that the HSE progresses with a €25 million facility to replace St Joseph’s Hospital in Ennis as a matter of urgency.
It’s been confirmed that the Health Service has agreed to purchase a greenfield site in the county town for the development.
The site location and development plans will be announced in the coming weeks and it’s expected the new hospital will provide 100 beds for the care of the elderly, with an estimated completion date of 2021.
