There’s been another rise in the number of clusters of the coronavirus in nursing homes and residential settings.
More than 5 thousand cases of Covid 19 have been confirmed across the country, 60 of those in Clare, while 174 people have lost their lives.
There are 260 clusters – 67 are in nursing homes, 45 in hospitals and 32 are in residential settings.
President of the Intensive Care Society of Ireland, Dr Catherine Motherway, who’s a doctor at University Hospital Limerick says some critical care units are under pressure.
