Ennis General Hospital has been praised in the latest round of Healthstat reports published by the HSE.
The reports mark health facilities on a traffic light system, and see Ennis General receive greens across the board for access, integration and resources.
The figures relate to December, and show the hospital was €609,000 under budget, and that waiting times for colonoscopies and physiotherapy appointments were within target.
The report does flag issues with emergency care and ultrasound waiting times, but despite this the hospital is still given the highest possible score in the three broad categories, the only facility to be recognised in this way.
On the other hand, University Hospital Limerick was given an amber grade.
The hospital overspent it's budget by nearly 20%, or €26.6 million.
MRI and ultrasound waiting times were far in excess of targets while concerns were also flagged about Emergency Department waiting times.
