High Court to Hear Garth Brooks Controversy

Legal proceedings to prevent the Garth Brooks concerts from going ahead at Croke Park later this month will be heard in the High Court on Thursday morning.

The application is for an injunction to stop the 3 Garth Brooks shows going ahead on July 25th, 26th and 27th.

The case against Croke Park and  Aiken Promotions is being made by local resident Brian Duff.

His barrister Frank Callanan described him in court as a scaffolder who has lived in the area at North Cumberland Street all his life.

His concerns are that he will have restricted access to his home while the shows are going on and that there will be anti-social behaviour with concertgoers vomiting and urinating on the streets.

Mr Justice Paul Gilligan has set aside time on Thursday morning to hear the injunction application.
