Holohan Warns Clare People To Be ‘Very Careful’ Amid Concerns About Covid Spike In Midwest

The Chief Medical Officer is warning people in Clare to be ‘very careful’ this Bank Holiday weekend amid concern about a COVID-19 spike in the Midwest region.

Crisis talks between health officials and public representatives in Limerick are taking place this afternoon as cases continue to rise cases there, with more than 800 cases confirmed in two weeks.

Public Health Midwest has said the situation appears to be stable in Clare, however it’s understood that there were 12 new cases in this county yesterday, the highest number in the county in a single day since earlier this year.
