IBAL expects two Clare towns to climb even higher in the litter league table in the future.
The latest Irish Business Against Litter Survey, which has been published today, shows that Ennis and Shannon are now Cleaner than European Norms, ranking sixth and tenth respectively in the survey of 40 areas around the country.
It's Ennis' best ever performance in the IBAL league, with the three approach roads into Ennis scoring the top litter grade, while The Hawthorns has been described as immaculate and Merchant’s Square and Market Place also scored well.
In Shannon, Smithstown Business Park, Town Park at Bothar na Rinne and the residential area of Aidan Park were said to be in excellent order, when surveyed by An Taisce.
