It’s hoped Traditional music could be the key to providing a much needed boost to the Clare economy, with the council bidding to host Fleadh Ceoil na hEireann in Ennis in two years time.
Clare Councillors are quietly confident the major Irish Music Festival could come to Clare in 2012, bringing a potential investment of 30 million euro for the wider Clare economy.
The Council is now actively targeting the event and Ennis Councillor Pat Daly hopes it will be the major boost the county has been waiting for
