It’s hoped a major investment in Shannon by Russia’s second largest airline could boost business for the local airport.
Transaero Engineering Ireland was officially launched by the Taoiseach yesterday, completing the takeover of Air Atlanta Aero Engineering by Russian Airline Transaero, and securing 241 jobs in the Shannon Free Zone.
