A Clare Councillor says expectations remain high locally that a deal will be struck shortly to secure jobs at Roche in Clarecastle.
It's understood a Canadian company is in talks with plant owners over a proposed purchase of the site, which could save the 250 jobs being provided directly and indirectly by the facility.

The pharmaceutical company announced in November last year that it was pulling out of the area, where it has operated since 1974.
Fine Gael's Paul Murphy says while no deal has been completed, the omens are good that an agreement is close.
