The Government is being urged to ensure that a new air ambulance to service remote regions including in parts of West and North Clare – is retained as a permanent fixture.
The service – based in Athlone will begin as a 12 month pilot scheme next month with the Air Corp providing the dedicated aeromedical support to the HSE.
