It's hoped that up to 40 jobs will be created during construction of a wave energy plant off the coast of West Clare.
The multimillion euro project is one of the first of it's kind in the world, and involves a collaboration between a number of leading universities including NUI Galway.

Tonight, ESB Wave Energy will host a public meeting at Doonbeg Community Hall, Co Clare to provide an update on progress on the project, which is scheduled to be completed in 2018.
Spokesperson James Tedd says there will be a number of specialist roles to be filled, but there will also be construction jobs on offer.
