A host of Clare towns and villages have been commended at the National Tidy Town awards.
Ennis was named the tidiest Large Urban Centre while also picking up a Gold medal, The Regional Award and The Gum Litter Award.
There were also mentions for Kilrush, Ballynacally, Mountshannon, Kilkee and Sixmilebridge National School.
The award for tidiest large urban centre went to Clare’s County Town while Ennis also received the Regional Award for the Mid West, the Gum Litter Award and a Gold Medal.
A Gold Medal was also awarded to Kilrush; Ballynacally received a Silver Medal while Bronze medals went to Mountshannon and Kilkee.
Sixmilebridge National School was also commended with a regional award in the School Award for the Mid West.
The Title of Tidiest Town in Ireland went to Emly in Co Tipperary
