A new report has suggested that house prices in Clare are booming.
The Real Estate Alliance Average House Index says an average three-bed semi-detached home in Clare is now 130 thousand euro, 13 per cent more than at the start of the year and more than 30 thousand higher than 12 months ago.
The typical home here is still worth 40 thousand less than the national average, though those who are looking to cash in on the rise have generally been able to find a buyer within seight weeks.
Nationally, the survey shows evidence of a three-tier property market in Ireland.
Growth is strongest in Dublin, and then in it's commuter belt and other large urban areas.
Rural areas are generally lagging behind, though the figures for Clare suggest the county has bucked this trend somewhat.
