It’s reported that asylum-seekers in several direct-provision centres throughout Ireland have tested positive for Covid-19.
The Department of Justice is providing 650 extra beds for asylum-seekers to allow for greater social-distancing.
But Bulelani Mfaco, from the Movement of Asylum-Seekers in Ireland, who’s a resident at the Knockalisheen Direct Provision Centre in Clare says that’s not enough.
