The Minister for Rural and Community Development believes more needs to be done at Government level to bring derelict properties back into use.
Michael Ring visited this county to turn the sod on the new County Library, and to open a new state-of-the-art one million euro multi-service innovation centre in Ennistymon.
Minister Ring says programmes including the Rural Regeneration Scheme and the Town and Village Renewal Scheme are working well across the country.

But he believes there needs to be shift in focus now to ensure derelict properties are enhanced.
