The HSE has been accused of dragging its heels on staffing the Cat-Scan unit at Ennis General Hospital.
Though the facility was only up and running for three months, it’s still out of action as the Health Service Executive seeks to recruit a new consultant radiologist, with Clare patients travelling to Limerick for the service instead.
Ennis Town Council is now calling on the HSE to expedite the recruitment process to restore the local service.
