The HSE’s to begin an investigation into the death of a baby who was born last week at Cavan General hospital.
The baby boy was delivered by C-section on Thursday, and was later transferred to a neo-natal unit in Dublin for treatment.

However he later passed away.
The HSE has extended its sympathies to the child’s family, and says a multi-disciplinary review team will review all aspects of the case.
