Pigs will fly at Shannon Airport next month.
The Airport is preparing to host the largest ever airlift undertaken by Bothar, which transports farm animals to parts of the developing world and donates them to families there.

On Monday October 10th, 40 in-calf dairy cows, 260 pigs, 200 dairy goats and 1,000 chicks will leave Shannon for Rwanda, where they will be divided among widows of the horrific genocide of the mid-1990s.
Bothar's innagural flight, a cargo of just 20 cows, left Shannon 25 years ago.
