Staff at Hughes and Hughes in Ennis have been expressing relief that their jobs have been rescued.
The store on Bank Place along with another in Dublin were bought over by Irish company Sivolta Ltd, which specialises in books, newspapers and stationary.
In February a receiver was appointed to wind down the book store chain with the loss of 225 jobs nationwide however its emerged a number of the shops have been sold on as a going concern.

The Ennis store with six employees reopened its doors yesterday and a new position set to be advertised shortly.
