Exiting the Bailout, a new Pope and a summer heatwave – just some of the highlights of 2013 – but as a new Year approaches, the people of Clare have chosen Clare’s All Ireland Hurling Success as their top memory of the year.
65% of people who took part in an online poll on clare.modus.ie said the return of the Liam McCarthy Cup and the celebrations which followed Clare’s triumph over Cork is their undoubted high point of 2013.

14% of those surveyed on the clare.fm website chose the Summer Heatwave, 11% picked the election of Pope Francis, while 7% will remember the year best for new flights and passenger growth at the Independent Shannon Airport.
3% said Ireland Exiting the Bailout was their Highlight of the Year.
