The husband of a Sixmilebridge woman murdered by an offender who was out on bail for violent assault wants to sue the State.
The news follows yesterday's claims from Fianna Fáil's Micheál Martin – who says he's seen evidence alleging Gardaí failed to properly investigate serious crimes including the 2007 murder of Sylvia Roche Kelly by Jerry McGrath of Dundrum in Co. Tipperary.

The claim was contained in documents given to Deputy Martin by Garda whistle-blower Maurice McCabe, who claims Gardaí failed to properly investigate a number of serious crimes including murder and abduction.
The case is due before the High Court on Monday.
