The Irish Cattle and Sheep Farmer’s Association has welcomed increased funding for the suckler brand.
The government’s Beef Taskforce has committed to providing 6 million euro in funding for developing a premium suckler brand alongside grass fed PGI.
The ICSA welcomes the progress this provides but would have preferred an exclusively suckler based PGI.
