The IDA is being called on to purchase the Information Age Park in Ennis.
The 32 acre Technology Park on the Gort Road was opened in 2007 and it was hoped up to 5000 jobs would be created there.

However the economic downturn and poor access to the site means it's potential was never realised.
Councillor Johnny Flynn says the IDA has recently agreed to purchase similar facilities in Limerick from owners Shannon Commerical Properties and he believes it's crucial the same happens in Ennis to ensure the town is not left behind.
