IFA fund expect to significantly cut fodder costs

The Chairman of Clare IFA believes fodder costs for local farmers will be significantly reduced through a new 1 million euro fund.

The scheme has been put together by the Irish Farmers Association along with five agribusiness firms and will be used to provide a transport subsidy for importing feed

It’s aimed at farmers who fall outside the hardship fund.

Meanwhile- another 80 acres of Shannon Airport land is being cut for fodder this week and local IFA spokesperson Andrew Dundass says demands been huge
