The Irish Farmers Association says the Minister in charge of the Office of Public Works has expressed concerns to them about how money allocated to Clare County Council for storm repairs is being handled.

The IFA's Flood Project Chairman Tom Turley has met with Minister Simon Harris to discuss the issue of flood alleviation works.

Farmers on Loop Head, at Kildysart and Ballynacally and in other coastal areas of the county saw their land devastated at the beginning of the year, and the IFA want funding to be maintained so that the OPW can carry out necessary works.
