IMF head due in court later on sexual assault charges

 

 

The world’s top banker has agreed to undergo DNA tests over allegations of a sexual assault in New York.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn – who’s head of the International Monetary Fund – is due in court later accused of attacking a hotel maid

The 62-year-old denies the charge.

Meanwhile, the Finance Minister Michael Noonan is in Brussels today, for a meeting of EU Finance Ministers.

The Government says they are not expecting any breakthrough on Ireland’s EU/IMF bailout package to take place at this meeting.

The bailout loans for Greece and Portugal are expected to dominate discussions.
