The union representing Aer Lingus Shannon Cabin Crew is confident its alternative plan to mass redundancies will result in a very viable future for services in the Mid West.

The airlines board announced last night it would be introducing the cost cutting measures aimed at saving 97 million euro after talks adjourned without agreement.
However unions remain hopeful some agreement can be reached with the company before it presses ahead with mass redundancies including over a hundred in Shannon.
