Impact officals meet over compulsary Shannon redundancies

 

It’s feared the number of cabin crew redundancies by Aer Lingus at Shannon Airport could be greater than than the 102 first planned.

Management is set to meet with trade Union Impact today to discuss the company’s plan for 230 compulsory redundancies at the three airport after the workers rejected the cost saving plan.

Around 440 further jobs will go on a voluntary basis – from the 4 staff groupings who voted to accept the 97 million Euro restructuring deal.

Union officials fear it could spell further bad news for staff in the Mid West and will brief them after today talks about a response to the job cuts.
