Elected members are to hold another meeting on closing the dump in Inagh next week following more questions about the estimated 4 million euro required to open a new phase, and revelations that millions more will be spent even if it’s closed.
The County Manager insists that with revenue form landfill down to around 2 million euro – the four million development figure cannot be met, but members are questioning the figures and the impact closure could have on local bin charges.
