A third successive monthly increase has been recorded in Clare's live register.
At the end of January, 9418 people here were signing on, 133 more than at the beginning of the month.

The largest increased were recorded in North Clare, up 64 to 1,605, and in Ennis where the dole queues grew by 56.
Smaller rises of 7 and 6 were registered in areas attached to the Welfare Offices of Tulla and Kilrush, respectively, though the total number of Clare residents claiming some form of unemployment benefits is still 665 lower than at the same point in 2013.
