There's been an almost 90 per cent take up of the Cervical Cancer Vaccine in Clare Secondary Schools.
New figures released by the HSE show 680 girls received the shot in the 2012 – 2013 academic year.

Since the organisation began providing the HPV programme three years ago 42,000 young women have received it.
Dr. Ann Hogan – Principal Medical Officer with HSE Midwest – is welcoming the news and says a new two dose program should see the uptake increase.
